Baking 101:REDVELVET CAKE WITH CREAMCHEESE FROSTING RECIPE
Assalamualaikum,lovelies ❤
First recipe girls and guys(yang minat baking lah kan) Jangan malu lah for lelaki yang minat bake.Okay let's start! Hari ni mar nak share recipe yang dah berkali-kali mar buat because kat rumah ni ada yang minat sangat.
Ingredients:
❤200 gram of butter. (you can use unsalted or salted butter tapi kalau korang guna unsalted kena add a little bit of salt.)
❤1 1/4 cup of castor sugar.
❤2 1/2 cup of plain flour.
❤1/2 cup of butter milk.(substitute: 1 cup of regular milk + 1 teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice.However better use lemon juice)
❤4 large eggs
❤1 teaspoon vanilla essence
❤1 teaspoon baking powder
❤1 teaspoon baking soda
❤1 tablespoon cocoa powder
❤red food colouring.(measurement depends pada kemerahan yang kita nak.)
❤1 teaspoon vinegar(optional:function untuk menghasilkan kek yang moist)
Steps:
1) Preheat oven at 180 degree celcius.
2) Sieve all your dry ingredients(flour,cocoa powder and baking powder)
3)Beat the butter using stand mixer or hand mixer until soft then add sugar and beat until light atau sebati lah senang kata.
4)Add egg one by one and beat slowly.Then add vanilla essence and beat until combine.
5)Whisk the buttermilk with 1 tablespoon red food colouring(make sure liquid type).Alternately add the dry ingredients with the buttermilk.If tak cukup warna merah baru tambah.
6)In a small cup combine the vinegar and baking soda.Tunggu berbuih dulu baru masukkan.Kacau sampai sebati.
7)Masukkan dalam acuan yang dah butter and letak parchment paper.
8)Baked for 25 to 30 minutes.Dah keluarkan dari oven jangan terus keluarkan kek dari acuan.Let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
Creamcheese frosting dah banyank kali mar try but selalu fail tapi akhirnya mar jumpa recipe yang tersangat lah trusted.Mar dapat from my aunt.Credit to her.Mar dah try and mar suka texture and the taste.Semua cukup manis dengan masam die.But korang boleh ubah ikut rasa korang.Here the recipe...
Ingredients:
❤250 gram creamcheese (guna creamcheese dalam bentuk kotak tau bukan tiub macam brand tartura)
❤2 tablespoon yogurt(greek yougurt brand nestle paling best because rasa masam lebih banyak berbanding yougurt biasa)
❤1/4 cup icing sugar (nak manis lagi boleh tambah tapi mar rasa tak perlu)
❤1 cup pf whipping cream (brand rich-colour gold)
❤Vanilla essence(measurement depend on rasa vanilla yang korang nak but for me 1 teaspoon pun dah okay)
Steps:
1)Beat creamcheese until creamy.Make sure creamcheese at room temperature.
2)Then add the yogurt and beat slowly until incorperated.
3)Add icing sugar and vanilla extract and beat until combine.
4)In another bowl,beat whipping cream until stiff peak or kalau korang terbalikkan bowl mixture tu tak tumpah.
5)Add the whipping cream into the creamcheese mixture and beat slowly until combine.
6)Optional:If nak masam lagi or nak ada tangy taste boleh letak lemon zest.
Ting!Your redvelvet cake is done!Korang boleh decorate ikut suka korang.Kalau dah pro boleh buat bahagikan batter tadi into two cake pan.So that korang boleh buat layer and crumb coat cake korang.Mar tak berani buat layer lagi but someday mar akan buat.Make sure korang ada turntable and off-set spatula kalau nak buat layer and crumb coat.
